Website privacy

Last updated 29 October 2026. This notice covers this website, ergodic.dev. Welt itself, the service at welt.ergodic.dev, has its own privacy notice, which covers your account, your data and your workspace.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages help, and Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used, so we can improve them. Both load when you visit. You can turn them off below.

Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years, and Google receives the pages you view, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google processes this for us as our processor. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not combine it with your Welt account.

Microsoft Clarity sets two first-party cookies, _clck, which lasts up to a year, and _clsk, which lasts a day, and records how you use the pages: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, which it can replay as a session recording, along with your browser and device type and an approximate location. Clarity masks text you type. Microsoft processes this for us as our processor; we do not use it for advertising.

Turning analytics off

If you turn analytics off, your choice is kept in your browser under ergodic-consent and neither script loads on later visits. You can change it here at any time.

Turning analytics off removes the Google Analytics and Clarity cookies this site set in your browser.

Everything else

Apart from the analytics cookies and your choice to turn them off, the site stores nothing in your browser. It has no sign-in, forms or advertising. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Questions: support.
